Did you know... The African Wild Dog is an 'endangered' species due to habitat loss, poaching and disease? Once, about 500,000 African wild dogs existed in 39 African countries, and packs of 100 or more were recorded.

Now there are probably less than 5000 in just a few countries. Fortunately, South Luangwa still has a viable breeding population and our guests are currently being treated to regular sightings of this very special animal.
