Did you know...
Our annual rains, and some of our migrant bird species, have been rather late arriving? However, the "Emerald Season" is finally here...and to prove it we were awoken very early, last weekend, by the unmistakable call of the 'African Pitta'. This is a notoriously elusive bird, but a great sighting, and some challenging photo opportunities, were had in the grounds of Mfuwe Lodge.
