Surrounded by some of the park’s richest wildlife, the central living and dining area at Kapamba huddles under matumi and sausage trees, opening onto an extended deck with a swimming pool. Cool, contemporary, and utterly original, the open-fronted bedrooms boast wide verandas and twin showers with views of the river. At night, pull closed the wrought-iron shutters and enjoy the sights and sounds of the night without worrying about unwanted visitors… Two of the chalets also have raised sleep-out salas (with small bathrooms) – a wonderful experience to sleep out under the stars, or to relax during afternoon siesta.
Get out into the bush and explore the rich diversity of the surrounding area on a morning walking safari or game drive, and then later in the day, jump into a Land Rover for an afternoon/evening game drive. When the weather is right, spend siesta time in the Kapamba River right in front of camp, or take a dip in the pool to cool off. We offer both walking safaris and game drives each morning, and an afternoon/evening game drive.
