650 school kids go on a game drive

This week was the last week of term for children in Zambia and what better way to celebrate the end of the school year than to enjoy a game drive. So the Bushcamp Company decided to arrange for all 650 pupils from Chiwawatala School in Mfuwe to go on a game drive in the South Luangwa National Park. For many of the kids it was their first trip into the park, even though they live within only a few miles. All the kids saw elephant, giraffe, impala and puku, with many seeing lions and some were luck enough to spot leopard. To ensure that all the kids enjoyed a drive, 8 of our safari guides led two game drives a day for four days. The kids also enjoyed lunch and a drink while out in the park and were treated like tourists for the day!
