An addition to the “Tusk” family!

The wild mango season is now over, but Wonky Tusk and family, and a whole host of other elephants, gave the guests of Mfuwe Lodge some great sightings for over two months as they trundled through the lobby in search of tasty snacks.

The fruit may be finished, but one elephant still remains, flatly refusing to leave the lodge! His name is “Wellington Tusk”… just like his more mobile namesake, but this little elephant has a rather different diet, prefering cash donations to mangoes!

Our “ellie-bank” is the latest way of collecting for the "Luangwa Conservation and Community Fund” which helps the wildlife and people of South Luangwa.
