Christmas for the guests at Mfuwe Lodge and the Bushcamp Company is always full of traditional, good cheer and a few seasonal surprises..! The "valley" get together on Christmas Eve gets everyone into the spirit (or should that be spirits?) with carols and sundowners in the bush, with enthusiastic choral entertainment from the Luangwa Choir! Christmas Day dawned bright and sunny with our lions giving everyone a special game-viewing treat by tucking into a Christmas breakfast of buffalo and zebra...no doubt their version of turkey and sprouts..? Our guests then found theselves equally well fed at the surprise "Christmas Bush Breakfast"...visited, as always, by Santa and his little helpers, who handed out presents, hugs and seasonal advice in good measure, before heading back to the North Pole... Lodge guests were given the chance to burn off few calories by taking part in a special Christmas Quiz, before putting them all back on again with a traditional lunch on the deck... After more game viewing (leopard this time) and more festive feasting it was finally time to emulate the lions and sleep off the effects of a very 'full' day..!
