More repeat guests..!

Mfuwe Lodge's biggest, and most wrinkled, visitors are back...though their first appearance of the year is rather earlier than usual! Wonky Tusk and family normally pay us a visit in mid-September to check out the progress of their favourite wild mango tree, which should start fruiting in October. However, for reasons best known to themselves, the whole family arrived about three weeks early for their annual reconnaissance mission. They didn't find any fruit, but the well watered grass around the tree obviously tickled their tastebuds! It is always a pleasure to see that our ellie friends have grown, and survived another year...though young "Winston", has certainly not learned any better manners during his time away! Not only did he 'attack' our 'elliebank' (maybe he considers it a more colourful rival?) but also relieved himself in spectacular fashion in the middle of our reception area! Take a look at the picture gallery to witness these early 2012 antics...
