Did You Know... the Martial Eagle is an apex predator in the Luangwa Valley, being at the top of the avian food chain? As Africa's largest eagle, with a wingspan of up to 2.6 metres, it hunts mostly in flight, circling high above its territory and stooping sharply to catch its prey by surprise. Its remarkably sharp eyesight allows it to spot prey over 3 kilometers away.
