Did you know... as the dry season wears on, African buffalo have to move and forage continuously in search of grazing and water? Whilst buffalo can be found in vast herds of up to a thousand animals, ranging over large areas, older bulls will often break away and live in small groups, or even lead a solitary life. In South Luangwa these old bulls are known as "kakuli".
