Did you know... baboons make good use of a feature known as the "primate hand" ? This means they have 'opposable thumbs' which allow for extra dexterity when eating, climbing, or grasping, with the tips of the thumb and forefinger meeting at right angles. As baboons have adapted to a more terrestrial lifestyle, digit length has gradually reduced, so that their hand proportions are similar to those of humans.
