What to expect

Join us for five nights as we concentrate on finding, photographing and talking about leopards, as well as spending some time with the Zambian Carnivore Project to find out about their work to save this and other carnivores in the area.

We will embark on game drives each day. In the evenings, we’ll have presentations and discussions about leopards, and all the proceeds from the festival will be donated directly to leopard projects including ZCP!

Accommodation and Activities

Kukaya, a beautiful, unique lodge with tented thatched chalets, is where our festival will take place. Owned by the Bushcamp Company, it is set in pristine bush overlooking permanent water holes, only 2.5 kilometres from the main gate of the South Luangwa. We have access to five double units (each with two ensuite bedrooms) and one single unit for two guests.

Depending on bookings, we may take over the whole camp but if not, we’ll eat and socialise as a distinct group. Each unit has its own swimming pool and fire pit. During our stay, we will alternate between morning and evening game drives, visits to the hide for photography, or time with a local conservationist.

Our fully inclusive package deal includes meals, bar and laundry – everything you need to enjoy your stay, from transportation to and from Lusaka airport to conservation fees and a ‘keyring’ for conservation. Also includes hosting by Margot Raggett and Tristan Dicks plus all activities.

The following are not included: gratuities, personal items, flights, gate entrance fees, craft gins, rum, single malt whiskey and speciality wines
