Welcoming Drew and Rhona Currell to The Bushcamp Company

We are delighted to announce that Drew and Rhona Currell have joined The Bushcamp Company as Managers – Bushcamp Operations.

Drew and Rhona bring with them an exceptional depth of experience in luxury safari lodge and camp operations, having spent decades building, leading, and refining some of Southern Africa’s most respected safari properties. Their combined careers span South Africa, Botswana, and Zimbabwe, with extensive hands-on experience across iconic wildlife regions including Madikwe Game Reserve, the Okavango Delta, Hwange National Park, and other remote wilderness destinations.

Together, they have played senior leadership roles at highly regarded safari brands, overseeing multi-lodge portfolios, award-winning luxury camps, pre-opening projects, staff development, guest experience, and operational excellence at the very highest level. Their background includes managing and supporting both intimate owner-run camps and complex multi-property operations, always with a clear focus on authenticity, sustainability, and exceptional guest journeys.

Beyond their impressive professional credentials, Drew and Rhona share a deep passion for life in the bush. They are people who genuinely love what they do—living and working close to nature, building strong teams, mentoring future leaders, and creating meaningful experiences for guests. For them, this role represents a natural continuation of a life dedicated to conservation-based tourism and to the rhythm and rewards of the safari world.

This appointment marks a seamless transition in Bushcamp Operations, ensuring continuity, strength, and experience as we move forward.
