A Signature Bushcamp.

Perched on stilts beneath a grove of ebony trees along a sweeping bend of the Luangwa River, Chamilandu offers one of the most distinctive bushcamp setting in South Luangwa National Park. Three thatched treehouse-style chalets are elevated above the riverbank, providing sweeping views across the Luangwa floodplain where elephants, hippos, and other wildlife are frequently seen. With its elevated design and intimate atmosphere, Chamilandu offers a uniquely immersive perspective of the Luangwa wilderness.

Experiences.

Elephants in Reception

Each year, between late October and mid-December, entire elephant families wander through Mfuwe Lodge’s reception to feast on fallen wild mangoes—a spectacle so iconic it’s become legend.

Game Drives

Explore the rich diversity and incredible wildlife of the South Luangwa on a game drive. On four wheels, you’ll cover as much of the region as possible and maximise your game-viewing.
