Game Drives

Where the valley reveals itself.

A game drive in South Luangwa is not a checklist. It is two to three hours inside one of Africa’s most concentrated wildlife ecosystems, with a guide who has spent years learning where to locate the wildlife your group is interested in.

The knowledge in the vehicle is a Bushcamp differentiator.  BCC guides are among the most experienced in Zambia — naturalists, trackers, and storytellers who understand that the best sightings are not found by driving fast, but by reading the bush slowly. You do not just see wildlife here. You begin to understand it and where they live.

Morning and evening drives are included at every camp. Night drives — one of South Luangwa’s rarest privileges, not permitted in most national parks — are also included. After dark the valley becomes a different world entirely, and many guests consider the night drive its own activity. We consider it a standard part of your day.

Available at all bushcamps and Mfuwe Lodge. Private game drives included at KuKaya and the Family House — available on request at all other camps.
